Lime essential oil is used for its cheerful, energizing, and fresh aroma. It is also popular for its ability to uplift the mind, clarify thoughts, and cleanse the aura. It is so intense that only a small amount is needed in a diffuser or aroma lamp. It combines well with other citrus oils. It is also antibacterial, supports healthy immunity and stimulates all sensesAnd as a bonus, it repels insects like mosquitoes, ants, and baby lice.

In cosmetics, it is used as an ingredient that helps strengthen brittle nails and as a blood-boosting component in cellulite and acne treatments.

Limes originally come from Asia, but are now grown in Sicily, Spain, southern Italy and France, where they were brought during the Crusades in the 12th and 13th centuries. You'll probably know them from their popular summer drinks and refreshing salad dressings.

There are two types of citrus essential oils – pressed or extracted from the peel of the fruit or distilled from the peel of the fruit. We offer a wide range of both types. For extracted citrus oils, avoid exposure to the sun for at least 12-18 hours after applying them to the skin in diluted form.
