There's always talk about how essential oils affect women... and here's finally something for men! Sandalwood essential oil, which is not only a popular component in perfumery and the undisputed king of men's fragrances, but also one of the well-known aphrodisiac essential oils.
Why is sandalwood the "king of men's fragrances"?
Sandalwood has been used for centuries in meditation and also in skin care. It has a pleasant sweet resinous to balsamic creamy aroma and its aromatic qualities grow over time. Which is a notable exception in the world of aromatherapy. What is even more interesting, however, are its effects on men:
- Sandalwood can naturally increase TESTOSTERONE levels! It is recommended to add a few drops of this essential oil to the cosmetics that a man uses. Ideally, in something that he applies to the skin, such as body oil, body cream or deodorant.
- Scientists have discovered that the male hormone ANDROSTERONE has a similar scent to one of the natural chemicals in Sandalwood essential oil. And it is this substance that triggers that strong erotic response in women.
- Sandalwood is a natural aphrodisiac and helps increase male LIBIDO. In such a case, it is recommended to diffuse this essential oil during a romantic evening or add a few drops to body cosmetics or natural perfume.
Sandalwood scent profile
It is creamy, earthy and yet warm. Unlike fresh pine or cedarwood, sandalwood has a smooth, velvety finish that lasts for hours. It acts as the perfect “base note” in natural perfumery, anchoring other scents. It exudes confidence, calmness and grounding. You will actually feel a reduction in stress and improved focus throughout the day when you use it.

How to wear natural oil perfume
Using natural oil perfume is different from regular perfumes. Apply it to your pulse points (wrist, neck and behind your ears). The heat activates the scent. You can also try rubbing a small amount into your beard to give it extra shine.
And don't forget that oil perfumes are concentrated. You only need a little and it will last a long time.
