And here we have summer! The squabbling of swifts, ripe fruit at every turn and the time of mighty lavender (Lavandula angustifolia). We know it as medicinal, true or narrow-leaved lavender. A strongly aromatic subshrub with narrow silvery leaves and beautiful purple flowers.
Caring grandmother or lady at the level
Lavender is said to be like a caring grandmother. A grandmother you can come to at any time, confide in about anything, and who will always welcome you with open arms. She will listen to you and give you wise advice. You feel safe and secure with her. But not all grandmothers are the same, and this also applies to lavender essential oil. The higher the altitude at which lavender grows, the stronger it is. And those who suffer from low blood pressure choose a more delicate lavender that grows lower. For example, lavender grown in a maritime climate is significantly different from lavender grown inland. You will be delighted by its delicate scent, which will not make you dizzy, and its honey tone will surprise you. When you open the bottle, a charming grandmother appears like a genie from a magic lamp. But different from the one with a cake in her hand. She is a lady of the level where you secretly tried on pearls in the mirror as a child and her sweet perfume has been etched in your memory. She is a wise woman who is not surprised by anything, but it is not advisable to anger her. Despite her stern look, she will always be on your side. She will help you clarify your thoughts, settle a crisis, calm you down with a kind word, and sip on liqueur.

Summer first aid
Essential oil restores mental balance, helps with nervous tension, hysteria and shock. It creates a feeling of calm and is most often used for insomnia. And in the summer, lavender is in the first place for me. I am not one of those who do not leave the house without applying sunscreen. And only after a sunburn do I start looking for sunscreen and lavender saves the situation from the condition of red cancer and peeling of the skin.
Winged “bloodsuckers”
Moreover – a sign of the holiday season are also mosquito bites. Who would like a mosquito's whistling sound disturbing their peaceful sleep by the open window? Just as Marylin Monroe slept wrapped only in the scent of Channel No. 5, I wrap myself in the scent of lavender. Winged “bloodsuckers” do not like it. And if we catch a mosquito, throw lavender on it. And in France, its scent is even used as protection against other insects, arthropods – scorpions.
Lavender is undoubtedly part of your summer wardrobe, and even if it's not your number one scent, I bet you can't miss it now.
