An energizing and harmonizing beauty that every woman will love. It provides support in every phase of a woman's life, especially during periods of hormonal changes. It has huge positive effects not only on the skin, but also on psychological well-being.
Why is it “muscat”?
Clary sage is a noble aromatic plant up to 100 cm tall, which is grown mainly for the needs of perfumery, cosmetics production and also the food industry. Its flower water traditionally flavors wines, liqueurs or vermouths. The beginnings of this practice can be found in Germany in the 16th century. At that time, wine from the more expensive variety called muscat was very popular. However, experienced German merchants were not lazy and came up with a rather clever innovation - they mixed local Rhine wines with clary sage flower water and elderflowers. And this is where the historical name of clary sage comes from.

Floral water aroma
Although it is grown for the needs of men's perfumery (where its essential oil is useful), it is a typical "female herb". It regenerates, soothes, harmonizes and strengthens. It is one of the hydrolates that encourage a good mood. Some even consider it an aphrodisiac. It boasts a very pleasant and delicate aroma, reminiscent of the aroma of Earl Grey tea with a pronounced citrus finish, similar to bergamot.
Skin care
It is ideal for dry, dehydrated and tired skin. Due to its antioxidant and strengthening effects, it is recommended as a prevention of skin aging. Thanks to its astringent effects, it also helps oily skin with enlarged pores.
Combination in a sprayer

Taste and cuisine
This floral water smells and tastes great. An aromatic tea with a bitter bergamot finish, exactly as S. Catty describes in her book “Hydrosols the Next Aromatherapy”. It is used mainly in cold cooking and in the preparation of drinks. It beautifully complements the taste of seasonal fruit in summer sorbets. It flavors white wine punches and is also very pleasant in martinis.
Harmonization
It is known for its positive effects on the endocrine and nervous systems and its gift of restoring balance. It also provides emotional support and helps with emotional trauma. It is simply energizing.
Among other things, it is recommended for many drinking cures for typically female problems (menopause, heavy menstrual bleeding, bringing on the menstrual cycle after hormonal preparations). Catty draws attention to the synergistic combination of clary sage hydrolate with yarrow for overall strengthening of the organism. The resulting taste is somewhat distinctive, slightly bitter, strongly herbal, with a warm finish.
Our tip is a relaxing hot bath with one tablespoon of clary sage and one tablespoon of lavender water. It soothes the skin and the resulting scent relieves tension and worries.
