You are probably familiar with rose, lavender, chamomile or mint water – popular floral waters that are an integral part of the world of natural cosmetics and aromatherapy. In this article, we will answer all these questions, and we will also explain what floral water is, how it is created, and what makes its effects so unique. Immerse yourself with us in the world of aromatic plants and their unique products.
But what is floral water?
First, let's explain what floral water actually is and how it is made. Floral water, floral water, hydrosol or hydrolate is a 100% pure natural product created in the distillation process, which transforms parts of plants that contain aromatic components (volatile organic compounds) into aromatic floral water. These treasures do not contain any preservatives or additives. After distillation, they are cooled, filtered and then undergo a microbiological analysis process that checks purity, residual percentage of essential oil and PH. Floral waters are used in cosmetics, food, pharmacology and cooking, and their world is very diverse.

Herbal infusion
Herbal infusion is a preparation method in which dried or fresh herbs are poured with hot water and left to steep for a set period of time, usually a few minutes. This process is similar to making tea and is suitable for herbs where we want to preserve the delicate aromatic and active substances, such as leaves and flowers.
Herbal decoction
An herbal decoction is made by boiling the harder parts of a plant, such as roots, bark, or seeds, for a longer period of time. Herbs are typically boiled for at least 15-30 minutes to release their active ingredients. This process is effective for extracting compounds that are more difficult to release from herbs than infusions.
So what is the difference between them?
Floral waters, or hydrolates, are 20 to 30 times stronger than regular herbal decoctions and infusions. So be careful with them! Such tea from pink flowers is just like lemonade or iced tea from rose water great not only for lifting the mood. When preparing lemonade, we use "only" 1-4 tablespoons per 1 liter of water. Why?! Because if we refreshed ourselves with a whole glass of rose water, it would "sweep" us nicely and, most importantly, the taste would be very, very pronounced. Floral waters are simply concentrated aromatic and taste treasures. And that's their magic! They have been used in many cultures to flavor dishes for many centuries.
Durability that pleases!
Unlike decoctions, floral waters contain only light and at the same time much more aromatic natural ingredients (with a maximum molecular weight of 250), thus retaining their unique aroma and effectiveness. Unlike decoctions, floral waters or hydrolates do not contain bitterness and tannins. Their complexity is full of effective and at the same time gentle ingredients that even the most sensitive and demanding skin will appreciate. Floral waters abound in anti-inflammatory effects and are safe for everyone. And the icing on the cake! Did you know that while infusions need to be consumed within about 24 hours, our floral waters will give you innovative production and packaging methods Lasts 24 months! Durability that will delight you!
