Hi Vera, thank you for finding time for our conversation. Your blog appealed to me with its honesty and the ease with which you explain more technical topics to the average user. Come tell us more about your project.
1. Who is Verča from the Kapka krásy project? How would you describe yourself in two sentences?
Haha, who am I? A passionate lover of natural cosmetics and everything around it. I like to study topics in depth, connect the information I have gathered with scientific knowledge, and it fulfills me very much!
2. How did the name of your beautiful blog Kapka krásy come about?
I remember the day when Kapka krásy was created as if it were yesterday. I had had the idea for a long time that I would like to write about cosmetics, but it all came about one day on a walk in the Moravian Karst region, where my ex-boyfriend, after I thoroughly described what I wanted to write about, what I wanted my project to say, started throwing out idea after idea of what my creation could be called. The moment I noted that I wanted the name to reflect the care of external beauty, but not to forget about the internal one, “Kapka krásy” came out of it… and I started repeating it to myself and knew that this was it! Even though it was raining that day and it was raining almost the entire way. Magical. I feel great gratitude for such a beautiful name, which I still resonate with after many years.
3. You've come a long way to find inner balance and self-knowledge of your own skin. Tell us which AHA moments were pivotal for you?
The most important thing for me was definitely working on my mental side. I think that it was the mental imbalance and various internal issues that affected my skin the most. Once I went through the "transformation" process, my skin started to heal the most. So first my heart and soul started to heal, and then my healthier skin was a reflection that I was heading in the right direction.
4. Which topic is dear to your heart on the blog? And which one is more difficult for you to process?
I would honestly say that most of the topics are close to my heart :D… However, I prefer to get into articles about acne skin, about the skin as such (anatomy, physiology...) and quite a few are heartbreaking cosmetic formula analyses. I'm definitely having a harder time processing topics about food and its effect on the skin at the moment. I often feel that these topics need to mature before I start sharing them more. I approach all words and information with great respect.
5. How did you get to the products? SoZoLe Rose? How did they address you?
To the products SoZoLe Rose I got through Janču (IG: janawbeauty), which covered the topic of hydrolates and we started a big debate about quality and the like. SoZoLe She mentioned Rose as a company she had recently discovered and she really liked the nettle hydrolate. After mutual agreement, I then had the opportunity to try the rose floral waters, which I was definitely first attracted to by the bottles. The more I learned about them SoZoLe Rose read and tried the products, I realized how high quality they are and how much love they are made with.
6. Body questions? What is your favorite hydrosol, herb, and cosmetic ingredient? And can you tell us why?
I love so many single-ingredient products, so these are pretty tough questions for me. Anyway, the hydrolate made from geranium, lemon balm, and white roses. For hydrolates, mainly because of their smell. Of the herbs, hemp definitely wins for me, and of the cosmetic ingredients, CBD extract. Hemp is probably the most interesting plant for me, from which very beautiful ingredients for cosmetic products are prepared. CBD extract won me over overall because of its effect on the skin.
7. What interesting projects await you in 2022?
Honestly, I don't plan much. I'll continue with the topics I'm working on. Of course, there will be some new ones - my notebooks are getting bigger and bigger. So it remains to be seen what interesting things I'll attract into my creative life.
