Did you know that you can use essential oils in your home for more than just diffusers or home cosmetics?! Their antibacterial and refreshing power can be used very effectively for cleaning and washing. Before I reveal a few simple cleaning tips and tricks, let's first delve into the history and practices of natural healing.
Shamanic rituals
It will certainly not come as a surprise to you that these plant treasures have been used to cleanse homes since time immemorial. To this day, they are an essential part of the rituals of natural healers and shamans. It has been scientifically proven that “bad energy” works and that it can be measured using quantum physics (KG STILES – Essential Oils Complete Guide, 2019). Well-chosen scents can cleanse these negative energies and people's auric fields. All essential oils that have been historically used for this purpose have antibacterial effects and a specific property of breaking down dirt and grease. In addition, they refresh and regenerate our soul. So we get 3 in 1!

Essential oils in the home
So now let's start, nice and easy washing and drying laundry.
I love lavender, so I add lavender essential oil to the washing machine when washing bed linens or towels. LAVENDER It promotes quality sleep. Just add 1-3 drops to your washing gel, powder or soap, depending on what you're washing. And when you hang up the laundry, don't be surprised that you'll feel a little lighter!
If you have a clothes dryer, you can add essential oils to your laundry before you start the drying cycle. If you are a “lavender fanatic” like me, again, add 1-3 drops of lavender oil to a cloth or cotton handkerchief. If you prefer a slightly more refreshing scent, add 1 drop to the lavender oil. PEPPERMINT. That's just beautiful! And let the fabric softener stand in the corner.
Scenting of cabinets and drawers
You can also use essential oils to scent your closets and drawers with clothes. Put 1-3 drops of your favorite oil on a cotton handkerchief and put it in the closet. If you are threatened by clothes moths at home, lavender is an obvious choice.

Uninvited insects in the home
They generally don't smell like peppermint and lavender. This also applies to children's lice, but you also need to add ROSEMARYIt is famous for being one of the powerful natural remedies that promotes hair growth and prevents hair loss (Dr. Josh Axe – Essential Oils: Ancient Medicine, 2016).
Get rid of odors
Effectively absorbs odors ESTRAGON (or Wormwood tarragon, which, thanks to its Latin name Artemisia dracunculus, is mythologically associated with dragons.) and the “magic plant” aromatic SAGE-BRUSHBoth also add protection to the space and combine well with lavender.

You can also add essential oils to your cleaning products (for example, citrus oils), but here I recommend oils that have been sitting at home for a really long time and you haven't checked their expiration date.
